Discover Paradise: Balite Falls Amadeo Cavite

Planning to go on a nature trip near Manila? Here's one of the ideas you were looking for! Just a few hours drive away from Manila, you might want to visit this hidden gem situated in the town of Amadeo in Cavite.

It was a day where my friends whom I met during the nationwide youth leadership event Angat Kabataan Camp planned a nature daytrip to escape the daily grind in the metro. They live in Makati and Sta. Ana areas respectively, and I live in Laguna. Since I can drive them in Cavite, I proposed to drive them to Amadeo since I've been there before with Mama and my Kuya.

JC (one of my friends) joined a morning fun run in Filinvest Alabang the same day. I told everyone that I will make sundo to them there so it will be easier for them rather than they go to San Pedro. Since we have an access road here that will bring us faster than the Aguinaldo Highway route, I suggested that we will be passing through the Carmona-GMA-Dasmarinas route to cut some minutes (or probably hours).

It was an early Sunday morning, I picked them up in Festival Mall while they were sippin' some coffee and frappe's at Starbucks riverbank (daya nyo!!) and hindi sila nanlibre. Anyways, it was 8 in the morning, then made a quick drive thru at McDonald's Southwoods, passed by the access road in Southwoods en route to Governors drive checkpoint. I drove them directly to General Trias area where we had a quick stop to buy our food and other essentials. Because literally, we brought only ourselves and our mode of transportation. LOL

Time check is around 10AM. Our travel was surprisingly fast as we did not encountered any traffic especially in SM Dasmarinas intersection. Estimated travel time is around 1 hour and 20 minutes to General Trias if we didn't have to go on a stopover at McDonald's Southwoods.

As soon as we finished buying our stuffs, we now turned left at Crisanto Reyes (avenue or street?) en route to Balite Falls. It was midway of the road (because Crisanto Reyes' end of the road will be at Tagaytay SkyRanch) where we turned right going to the entrance of Balite Falls.

UPON ARRIVAL...

When we reached the entrance, we already felt that there are a lot of visitors that day, judging by the number of cars in the parking area. We were greeted by people (not sure what we'll call them) and they asked us if how many are inside the van. We said 6 people, and they gave us options.

Option A: Pay P100 /person without the use of swimming pool

Option B: Pay P150 /person with use of swimming pool

(Not sure if this is weekend price, but we assume it is)

Of course, both options include swimming at the falls area. We decided to take option B to give us flexibility to appreciate the place. Oh, and they asked us if were going to rent a cottage near the falls area or pool area. We took the falls area.

Parking is free. Also, they had sari-sari stores which provides the basic necessities. It's cool though.

As we disembarked our van, we encountered very steep steps as we descended. The steps are extremely slippery, give that the day is quite sunny. It's not advisable to leave the elderly to just go around the place.
We had our cottage, it's enough to provide you shelter. Not cozy though. Cottage rent is P400.

To give you a tour around the place, here's my girlfriend's photos of the place. All photos used here are from her, So copyright, KC Mangubat.
