It was never planned, really. We happen to visit the city of San Pablo in Laguna only to personally deliver the wedding invitations prepared by now couple.
Sink and Swim |
We left San Pedro around 7 in the morning. Since there is a faster access to San Pablo today, we opted to explore this route. It was the highway that comes after the Calamba exit which is called ACTEX. It was indeed a fast ride and we even bought vegetables being sold at the sidewalks as we cruise along.
We arrived in San Pablo proper (exactly SM San Pablo) around 9 AM with traffic. We dropped my brother and his wife-to-be in SM San Pablo, then off we go to Bato Springs.
As we cruised along the national road, we kinda got lost trying to find Bato Springs. I asked a few bystanders and stumbled to someone who sell "kakanins". Right after we asked, he humbly begs us to buy at least one product. Wise.
We turned left in a road at the edge of Meralco, then cruised along at least a couple of kilometers to reach Bato Springs.
We reached Bato Springs with a surprising cover of trees shading the whole road. Cozy.
We took our packed lunch at our van since the cottages doesn't fit our budget. The distance between the parking area and the pool areas are that close so we opted not to rent a cottage. Cottages start at P500. Tip: If you'll only use the cottage to drop your things, you prolly want to leave your things in the car rather than paying P500.
Do not be shocked by the water's serene coldness. It's beyond extreme to human temperature! Once immersed in water, keep your body at bay. You might find yourself screaming because of the icy water. Slowly but surely.
I took less pictures since I'm excited to swim. So take a close look on the images provided below.
