Hats off for the Comedy King

"Comedy is Dead, But long live Comedy", said by Eric Quizon, the son of the late Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon Sr., whom the fans of the filipino "Comedy King" when the people shared their sympathies with the Quizon Family.

Truly, YES. Mang Dolphy is my favorite comedian of all time. Not the fact that we are both Filipinos, but the fact that he defined comedy as "TRUE COMEDY" to all of us. He shared a lot of laughter, joy and bliss as each and everyone pay tribute to the passing of the "comedy king" yesterday evening.

It was believed that at the age of 83, Mang Dolphy is all humor until the end of his life. The fact that his role and he, being human has made a big contribution to filipino entertainment.

I cannot think of anybody that has same level as Mang Dolphy to be rightful of the title "King of Filipino Comedy". But judging by the way it looks, he gets weaker and weaker because of old age and other chronic diseases. But he fought everyday and didn't shed a tear, the Filipino nation grieve for the passing of the filipino entertainment icon, and established a true blood of Filipino ingenuity.

Thank you very much for the happiness you gave us.

It's been hard for all of us, but you're memories will stay with all of us forever.
